On my way to VCF Midwest!

It's been a very busy year so far. Around the time of the last post (which I didn't even actually post, whoops), we had a major restructure which gutted a lot of teams. Luckily, our dev team wasn't directly affected but QA as well as a lot of the customer facing members of our product team were let go which caused a lot of burnout for me.

I've had a lot of burnout in the past year due to that as well as being put on a new team that is somehow "focused on handling customer requests" but what exactly that entails has been pretty vague up to this point. I've been ensured it's not simply a change in responsibilities to dev support and that the project I've been working on for almost two years is very in-line with what I'm expected to do on this new team.

On the topic of my main work project, that is nearing its completion and we're moving on to customer acceptance. Shuffling teams aside, I'm looking forward to being able to work on some new stuff finally. It's fun to work on a big project like this, but wow I'd love to work on a more fast-paced dev cycle, at least for a little bit.
